More Kayak Views

I woke up very early to get down to the boathouse on Pier 26 for volunteer orientation.

Here is Tribeca in the morning.

Orientation was cool.
We found this fish on the pier.
I swept it back into the Hudson.
Isn't it gross?

A bird ate it, but it looks like a cartoon fish with head, tail and spine!
(How do they eat them and leave it looking like this?)

Then we went out on the water.
The water is not open yet until next weekend, so it was just three of us and it was nice. The water was very choppy but I don't mind.

I made use of my new waterproof phone case which has a neck strap, so my phone doesn't get claimed by the river gods.

These weird ominous twin-facing buildings (NY and NJ) are how the exhaust gets removed from the Holland Tunnel.

It's a military zone and they freak out if boats get too close.
It is on Pier 34 (where I painted yesterday) and you can go to the end of pier 34 until the security fence.
