Last night was my final night house-sitting, and while I don't mind it, I'm ready to be home.
I woke up very early, took care of everything so my friends could come home to everything in order, and I went home.
My cats have taken over.

Janet called me to see what i was doing today.
I had no idea what to do with myself today, to be honest.
She asked if I wanted to join her in going to an open house, so I said sure.
We went to a neighborhood called Briarwood.
There is a park right where the train gets out, but it is not a nice area.
Janet spotted a bird in the garbage-grass at the side of the Van Wyck.
An adult male robin.
He was clearly injured.
Couldn't fly, couldn't hop/walk.

Leg was messed up.
I picked him up and took him with us, and named him Briarwood.

When I got home I put him in the travel rat cage I still have in my linen closet.
Then I called the NYC Wild Bird Rescue People.
They said bring him in, but with the trains messed up, my already-long day, and really feeling drained, I couldn't face the trip today. Tomorrow, ok... and it'll take half the time it would if I go today.
Poor guy.
