Last night there was brown stuff on my wall and on my top roll of extra toilet paper.
Although very weird, I thought a cat puked or something. I couldn't figure it out.

I cleaned it up.
Then today.... it was back...... no smell, not a cat, but a water leak from upstairs.
From the upstairs toilet, to be exact, but not the dirty water.

But still.
My ceiling was squishy.
You do not EVER want a squishy ceiling.
The super came immediately and made this scary gross wet hole in my ceiling.
He said it's good I called so fast, a few more days and my ceiling would have collapsed.
We have to wait for it to dry to make sure the issue is fixed, and then he'll re-build the ceiling.
SO GROSS.

That is gross. It is creepy having your ceiling open to the above floor. When we remodeled our bathroom. A man had to get into the attic to put in a new vent pipe. He slipped off the ceiling joists and fell through the spare bedroom ceiling. Talk about a mess. UGH... the blown in insulation came pouring into the bedroom where I had stored all of our CLEAN linens etc out of the bathroom. Needless to say I got a new ceiling and crown moulding plus they had to pay for all the stuff being laundered. It was a big mess.
