It is good that you bit the bullet and got her the braces. My daughter wanted braces because she had large spaces between her front teeth and I didn't get them for her. She thought she was ugly for years. When she was 40 she got them herself. It would have been easier on her to get them when she was Daya's age. I must say Daya's are barely noticeable. I hope it all works out.
WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO HER LIPS?! That device to keep her mouth open looks like some sort of torture tool, YIKES! I had braces - for years - but I don't remember them ever using something like that to keep my mouth open. Scary.
