I Missed the Earthquake & Hidden Faces

Yep, I missed it.
My colleague in London pinged me on Teams asking if I was ok, he heard there was an earthquake.

I said.... there was an earthquake?

Apparently we had an earthquake right as I started my morning workout, specifically when I was skipping with my 2lb rope which is an earthquake all by itself.

 ******
I went to The Met this evening to see the Hidden Faces exhibit.
My favorite painting is in it.

Janae and Mark texted me while I was on the bus going up Madison Ave, saying Do you feel the aftershocks?
Of course I did not because the bus is its own earthquake.

So, I missed everything and honestly I don't care.

We had an earthquake a while back when I was working in Times Square.
Daya was in the office with me that day, and I thought she shook my chair but it was an earthquake.

Everyone forgets we are on a faut line here and do get rare but not unheard-of quakes.

Here is the Hidden Faces exhibit.
It is excellent.

I bought 2 books. :)

Easter Plein Air

I did give Daya an Easter basket this year and- as much as I love doing it, this might be the last time.
I don't think she cares at all; she didn't acknowledge it or say anything to me about it.
She's really weird with holidays- she basically won't have anything to do with them anymore.
I don't know why.  She thinks they're stupid or something.

This is especially a bummer at Christmas.
Yeah, she doesn't even like Christmas.
It's sad.
I would like to have nice holidays together but you can't force someone.

So I guess this is the last Easter basket.

I went to Central Park, hoping to paint my tree, but also aware I might have to look elsewhere.
And yep, some guy had his crap spread out in front of the tree and he was swinging a sword around.

Definitely showing off.

Definitely obnoxious.

The Squirrel of Judgement agreed with me, for once.

There are many rocks in The Ramble and I did a bit of rock climbing.  If nothing else, it is cool to stand on top of a big rock and paint.

Dru sent the best Easter bunny.
